c.   Full Screen
If you don’t want the black edge, you still have other choice, select Pan and Scan, you will get a video in full screen, the ratio remains while some were cut.

3.   Trim DVD video
as you have selected the clips to convert, you can trim any segment of the clips by clicking the trim button. You can move the slide below the screen to trim any segment and the blue line will be the captured parts.
